Localization driven by anisotropic interactions

We study experimentally Anderson localization in tight-binding disordered systems with angular-dependent couplings. Anderson localization is the absence of wave transport in a disordered medium due to multiple interferences. This poster presents preliminary results on the effect of the anisotropy of the coupling on localization. We observe that localization is promoted by anisotropic couplings, in contradiction with what is expected when considering the efficiency of the scattering process.
